I love performing wedding ceremonies. Gazing into happy, sometimes nervous faces. There may be laughter and some tears. Perhaps a little trembling. The best moment is when I pronounce them “husband and wife”. The tension melts away. There’s a sigh of relief. A look of joy. Then the kiss. And maybe, like CJ, the groom will lift up his bride. Yippee!
